PROGRAM OVERVIEW & ELIGIBILITY

The General Purpose (GP) Rating Course was introduced on request from the Shipping Industry, in order to ensure enhanced & multiple utilities of ratings, onboard vessels belonging to shipping companies, worldwide. Accordingly, the erstwhile Deck Rating and Engine Rating courses were adapted to the new guidelines, and the concept of "General Purpose Rating" was introduced by the Directorate. This ensured higher employability of the Indian seafarers in the world market.

Hostel, Food, Dresses, Shoes, Books, Swimming, Indoor Sports, Outdoor games, Personality Development Classes, English classes, A/C Class Room, and all other training materials provided.

Eligibility & Qualification

• Training Duration: 6 Months
• Eligibility: Matriculation (10th pass) with aggregate 40% marks from a recognized Board / +2(Any Stream) / ITI Pass / Diploma/ Graduate/ BBA/ BCA/ etc.
• Age Limit : 17.5 to 25 years (Male)
• Fully medically fit having Both eye vision 6/6 in both eyes (eye vision + or – 2.5 allowed) and no color blindness.
